Laava Tech Victorious in China!
Guangzhou, one of the largest manufacturing hubs in the world, hosted the Make It In China Startup Contest during the Guangzhou International Innovation Festival, providing a platform for 27 startups around the world to pitch their companies in the largest market globally. The contest is also using the opportunity to introduce startups to China’s massive manufacturing ecosystem and helping them setup strong supply chains with local partners.
Laava Tech won a place in the finals by winning one of the competition semi-finals in Tel Aviv, Israel. The other semi-final locations were Berlin, New York, Paris, San Francisco Bay Area, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto, so it’s no surprise the companies pitching in China were the best of the best.
Laava Tech CEO Tatsiana Zaretskaya showcased our energy-saving lighting technology for indoor farming to an international audience and once again took the top prize! The competition was tough, with all of the 27 companies pitching bringing innovative ideas and technologies to the market, making this achievement all the more impressive!
The week continues with tours of manufacturing facilities in and around Guangzhou, as well as discussions and meetings with possible cooperation partners for Laava Tech in China.
